Alternative Investments Fund

Gardner Capital values and invests in people and businesses with innovative new ideas or business models that further our mission of improving families’ lives through affordable housing and clean energy. Gardner Capital’s Alternative Investments Fund provides soft loans and grants to individuals and/or businesses to support and execute their mission-driven programs. Gardner Capital commits to $500,000 per program for each round of funding, and funding is capped at $25,000 for any one specific proposal. Our current round of funding specifically targets funding for the initiatives listed below. Applicants for funding through the Alterative Investments Fund should fill out the form below to be considered. Terms and conditions of funding under the Alternative Investments Fund are solely at the discretion of Gardner Capital, and Gardner Capital reserves all rights to refuse funding proposals for any reason.

Clean energy for tenants

Solar energy is cheaper and more broadly accessible than ever, and people have more ways than ever to reduce their electric bills and enjoy clean energy. However, tenants of multifamily housing in many areas of the US have by and large not enjoyed the same access to solar energy for various reasons. Gardner Capital is seeking unique proposals for ways to make access to solar more efficient for tenants in multifamily housing. All proposals will be considered, and selected proposals will be eligible for funding up to $25,000.
